Show concludes successful season; Express Entertainment plays pivotal role in strengthening its television reach Pakistan Idol wrapped up a successful season with more than just the search for a winning voice. Over the course of the competition, the music reality show emerged as a platform for discovering fresh talent, celebrating Pakistani music and bringing audiences together through a shared love for homegrown sound. A defining element of the season was its commitment to local music. Contestants performed Pakistani songs throughout the competition, revisiting familiar melodies while bringing their own voices, styles and interpretations to them. In doing so, Pakistan Idol not only introduced promising singers to a national audience but also allowed a younger generation to reconnect with Pakistan's rich musical repertoire. The musical experience was further enriched by an impressive line-up of guest judges, artists and personalities, including Alamgir, Farhan Saeed, Mekaal Hasan, Bilal Saeed, Sara Raza Khan, Humaira Channa, Shazia Manzoor, Asim Azhar, Arif Lohar, Sanam Marvi, Akhtar Chanal and Natasha Baig. Bangladesh's Humaira and Raja Bashir also brought a cross-border musical connection to the stage, while legendary Pashto singer Khayal Muhammad, Behroze Sabzwari and filmmaker Asim Raza were among other prominent personalities associated with the show. The show's collaboration with Express Entertainment further strengthened its television reach. Through consistent on-air support and promotion, Express Entertainment helped carry the contestants' journeys into households across the country, reinforcing television's ability to create shared entertainment experiences even in an increasingly digital age. Brand partnerships also remained an important part of the season. While several sponsors supported the show across different categories, Peek Freans Sooper by EBM remained its principal partner. As one of Pakistan's leading names in the biscuits and confectionery industry, EBM has consistently stepped forward to support initiatives that encourage talent, creativity and new opportunities. Its association with Pakistan Idol further reflected that approach, bringing the brand together with a platform centered on Pakistani music, youth and emerging talent. Speaking about the association with Pakistan Idol, Shahzain Munir, Executive Director, EBM, said that SOOPER's long-standing connection with Pakistani households made the partnership an opportunity to go beyond conventional sponsorship. "Pakistan Idol provided us with an opportunity to go beyond sponsorship and create a platform that celebrates Pakistan's talent, inspires dreams, and gives emerging artists a national stage," he said. According to Munir, the association reflects EBM's broader commitment to nurturing talent, honing skills and creating opportunities for the next generation through meaningful experiences that bring families and communities together. He also highlighted the potential of Pakistani music, particularly among young people, noting that the country is rich in musical talent and that young artists possess immense creativity and potential. Munir said what emerging talent needs is a credible ecosystem that provides platforms, mentorship and exposure to help artists develop their capabilities and sustain their careers. "Music is particularly powerful because it allows young people to develop a skill, find their voice and connect with millions of others," he said. For EBM, the connection with today's youth is similarly rooted in understanding their aspirations and creating opportunities that matter to them. Munir said platforms such as Pakistan Idol allow EBM and SOOPER to support self-expression, creativity and ambition while remaining connected to the evolving interests of Pakistani consumers. As a brand trusted by millions of households, he added, EBM aims to invest in experiences that inspire the next generation while strengthening its connection with Pakistani families. The journey culminated in the Sooper Finale on Sunday, August 23, where Atif Aslam, one of Pakistan's most celebrated music icons, made the Sooper Finale even more memorable as he joined regular judges Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Fawad Khan, Zeb Bangash and Bilal Maqsood as a celebrity judge. Bringing his signature energy and unmistakable star power to the Pakistan Idol stage, Atif also performed some of his popular songs, adding another musical high to an already spectacular evening. His presence and performances elevated the finale, making it a fitting celebration of Pakistani music and the remarkable journey of emerging talent throughout the season. Ultimately, Pakistan Idol's successful season demonstrated something bigger than competition: Pakistan continues to possess an extraordinary pool of musical talent. What young artists need are credible platforms that allow those voices to be discovered, nurtured and heard - and this season provided exactly that.
