Eagles legend Brandon Graham announces he's ‘officially done'

Posted Tuesday, September 8, 2026 12:18 pm On Tuesday morning at the Breakfast with the Birds event, Brandon Graham took the stage with microphone in hand and officially announced he is retiring from football, culminating an outstanding 16-year career where he won two Super Bowls and became one of the most beloved Eagles in team history. He appeared in nine games, including the wild card loss to San Francisco. He logged just 113 defensive snaps, but provided a solid boost of the edge and also lined up at defensive tackle at times. He had three sacks in limited action. 'I'll still be around helping the guys,' Graham said. 'It's a great adjustment for me. It's all about my kids and my family, trying to make sure I'm there for that. Making sure to spread the love everywhere,' Graham is the team's all-time leader in games played among defensive lineman with 215 while his 79.5 sacks rank third-most in franchise history and will forever be remembered for his strip sack of Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII to help the Eagles win their first Super Bowl. The longtime veteran praised the young and upcoming stalwarts now anchoring the defense including Jordan Davis while giving a vote of confidence in Jalen Hurts. 'Jordan Davis, I'm telling you, he is a guy that is going to get the defense going. I can't wait for Jalen to prove the haters wrong and get us back to the promised land,' Graham said.' Graham certainly enjoyed two trips to the promised land and will one day enjoy being inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame.
