WWE veteran Bayley returned to TV last night on Raw, interjecting herself in the triple threat Women's Money in the Bank qualifying match by attacking her nemesis Lyra Valkyria. It seemed to shed some clarity on Bayley's situation amid reports that her contract was expiring and she was looking to possibly test free agency. The reports amplified when WWE wrote Bayley out of storylines at the most recent Saturday Night's Main Event and then kept her off TV for several weeks, leading to speculation that she was done. Following multiple mentions of her by name last week, it was presumed that Bayley was likely staying with WWE or at the very least being brought back and after her return on Raw last night, Dave Meltzer of f4wonline.com quickly reported that Bayley had inked a new contract with WWE: 'Yep, signed a new deal.' However, a conflicting report has now emerged as many suspected. PWInsiderElite.com reports that while Bayley was back in WWE storylines last night and will be on the road moving forward, she has NOT signed a new contract with WWE. The outlet flat out debunked that report citing multiple WWE sources as indicating that there have been 'no conversations' of Bayley agreeing to a new deal due to the fact that she has 'lots of time' left on her existing pact. Meanwhile, Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp mentioned in his Q&A that there's a 'significant chance' that Bayley signs a new deal with WWE and that her contract could change the landscape of all future deals by including guaranteed years and money and she could even negotiate outside appearances and travel expenses to be covered. He conceded that Bayley will receive a 'big offer' from AEW that would entail an easier schedule, but he expects WWE to open their wallet to try and retain her services. It appears this saga is far from over and there is still a very real chance that Bayley could leave WWE when her contract expires, whenever that may be.
