Pesaro szülöttjét a világhír felé nem vígoperáinak egyike, hanem az életmű első nagy, formaalkotó kompozíciójának tekinthető melodramma eroico, az 1813-as Tancredi indította el, mely idén egyszerre került műsorra a Frankfurti és a Kölni Operában.
