Red Cross visits to terrorists to resume

Israel's security establishment is preparing for the resumption of Red Cross visits to security prisoners in Israeli prisons for the first time since October 7. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir criticized the move and the High Court of Justice directive permitting the visits. 'The High Court's directive to allow visits to Nukhba terrorists for the first time since October 7 constitutes a direct blow to the State of Israel's security deterrence," he said. Ben Gvir linked the conditions of security prisoners to the decline in terrorist attacks, saying, 'The security reality is clear: There has been a decline of approximately 75% in terrorist attacks, and according to the Shin Bet, this is due, among other things, to the reform of prison conditions for terrorists." Ben Gvir then intensified his criticism of the Supreme Court. 'Unfortunately, the High Court consistently serves as an address for appeals by the enemy," he said.
