Moogle Treasure Trove Returns To Final Fantasy XIV On September 9, Brings New Mount With Uolon Horn Reward

The Moogle Treasure Trove returns to Final Fantasy XIV on Wednesday, September 9, 2026! The first Trove will be running from September 9 – October 19. These Troves have increased rewards due to the run-up to the newest expansion, Evercold, which should be dropping in January 2027. The next Fanfest will have more details for the expansion at the end of October. Fluffy Mount Incoming! In this event, you are rewarded with irregular tomestones of Astronomy, which you can use to purchase some really expensive or, in some cases, items from content that is normally quite challenging. This Moogle Treasure Trove is slightly different from normal, though, by giving you a chance to get a unique mount. This mount is called the Uolon and can be obtained by tackling specific challenges and getting tokens during the first and second versions of the Trove (details on the second Trove will be given at a later date). To participate in the event, if for the first time, you will need to talk to the Itinerant Moogle, who can appear in all three starter cities in these locations. Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X:9.4, Y:11.6) New Gridania (X:12.4, Y:12.1) Ul'dah—Steps of Nald (X:9.6, Y:9.1) Once you have finished talking with the Moogle, you will unlock the Mogpendium in your collections tab; this will show your Standard, Weekly, Minimog, and Ultimog challenges. Completing the Ultimog and Minimog challenges during this Trove and the next Trove will give you the tokens for Uolon, though it will also grant Irregular Tomestones. You will need 10 tokens for the mount; the Ultimog can be completed once and will give five tokens, and the minimog can be completed weekly and will give one token per week. So this will take roughly five weeks to complete if you do the Ultimog. So Many Rewards! At the time of writing, we don't know the exact details on the Ultimog or Minimog challenges, but in the past, you get two different choices of events that you can do weekly for the Minimog, such as either doing FATES (open-world battle content) or fishing. These challenges can range from battle content to side content such as Triple Triad also. Ultimog is a challenge that gives a ton of Tomestones and the new token but can only be completed once for the entire event. The standard objective is often just a list of different dungeons and trials and other content that you can repeatedly grind for the Tomestone if you wish to get the items faster, though obviously if you wish to take your time and get the items, doing weekly events is also a possibility. You can also get the tomes from doing things such as GATES (Gold Saucer Random events) or even Ocean Fishing. So, it's not all combat related. The Ramuh Crystal was from a previous savage raid, which means for a lot of people you may not have this mount, so it's amazing to see it here. I love when this event comes back, and it gets the player base to really interact with the game more; certain game modes, such as Rival Wings, see a huge increase in players as they grind the PvP mode for the tomes. This content often returns during the off patches to give people more reason to log in, though with this patch wrapping up the end of the Dawntrail MSQ and giving us Beastmaster, it was quite a surprise to see it here!
