Linda Nosková's Life Off the Court: From Rags to Riches, Parents, Boyfriend & More

The reigning Wimbledon champion Linda Nosková faces world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the quarterfinals of the 2026 US Open today. Nosková earned her spot in her first-ever US Open quarterfinal by gutting out a grueling three-set victory over No. 11 seed Marta Kostyuk, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4, in the fourth round. The win extended her Grand Slam winning streak to 11 consecutive matches, dating back to her maiden major title at Wimbledon. Linda Nosková's parents are Drahoš Nosek and the late Ivana Nosková. Her father is a retired railway dispatcher who, alongside his late wife, made immense personal sacrifices during periods of financial hardship to fund Nosková's tennis training. At times, the family barely had enough money to eat or a stable place to live. Nosek remains a prominent figure in his daughter's player box and was also there in person to witness her 2026 Wimbledon championship victory. In an interview with Czech newspaper iSport, Nosek recalled the struggles the family faced while trying to support their daughter's dream of becoming a professional tennis player. 'We went from absolutely nothing to everything. When we started, we barely had enough to eat and nowhere to live. My wife and I had both divorced our previous spouses, left all of our property to them, and had to start over from scratch,' he said. 'When Linda was born, I was running a deficit of 3,000 crowns every month. My wife had nothing, I was working as a railway dispatcher, and I had to collect scrap metal just so we could survive.' Recounting the times he had to travel with Nosková for her tournaments, Nosek said the family had hit 'rock bottom' to give her a chance to pursue her dreams. 'I remember that one of the other girls playing was the daughter of a police officer, and then there was our Linda. Everyone else had wealthy fathers who paid for everything and mothers who traveled with them. What the two of us went through… It was horrible. We truly hit rock bottom just to give her this opportunity.' The world No. 6 is currently single and has not publicly shared any information about a boyfriend or partner.
