QUETTA , Sept 7: Balochistan Adviser for Sports and Youth Affairs Meena Majeed Baloch has emphasized the importance of functional and well-maintained sports facilities in encouraging young people to pursue healthy and constructive activities, saying continued efforts will be made to rehabilitate sporting venues and expand opportunities for youth across the province.
She expressed these views during a visit to the GOR Colony Futsal Ground, where rehabilitation and repair work was completed on her directives.
The sports facility had remained in poor condition for an extended period before being restored and reopened for sporting activities, providing children and young people in the area with a functional venue for futsal and other sports.
During her visit, Meena Majeed interacted with children and young players using the ground and discussed their sporting activities, available facilities, difficulties and requirements.
The adviser said providing young people with improved sports infrastructure and opportunities to develop and showcase their abilities remained an important government priority.
She said rehabilitation of neglected sports grounds and expansion of facilities for healthy recreational activities would continue in different parts of Balochistan.
The restoration of the GOR Colony Futsal Ground is expected to give children and youth in the locality better access to sports while encouraging them to participate in positive and healthy recreational pursuits.
