Two hospitalized after motorhome crashes on US-26

SWAN VALLEY, Idaho (KIFI) — First responders are on the scene of a crash involving a motorhome on US Highway 26 near the Conant boat ramp that sent two people to the hospital Monday. According to the Idaho Transportation Department, the crash happened around 11:43 a.m. The motorhome, which was towing a white SUV and a trailer carrying a side-by-side, overturned and came to rest on its side along the westbound guardrail. Further down the roadway, the trailer carrying the side-by-side was heavily damaged. An ambulance took two people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to first responders on the scene. All lanes of US-26 remain affected. Idaho State Police troopers are on-site rerouting traffic through the South Fork Lodge area to bypass the scene. Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays or seek alternative routes. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. This is a developing story.
