Penn State defender named Big Ten co-Defensive Player of the Week

Caleb Bacon was sizzling in his Penn State debut, literally. The Iowa State transfer linebacker turned defensive end was all over the defensive backfield in Penn State's 45-0, totaling six total tackles, including five solo, three for loss and a sack. For his efforts, Bacon was named co-Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. It's the first Big Ten Player of the Week award on either side of the ball for Penn State and the first of Bacon's career. An All-Big 12 Honorable Mention last year, Saturday's effort was his second career game with multiple TFL's and he was the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week once last year as well.
