LG Electronics is showcasing its latest premium LCD television lineup at IFA 2026 in Berlin, led by the ultra-large LG Micro RGB evo, which has received TÜV Rheinland certification for high-purity colour reproduction. The company is demonstrating the Micro RGB evo (MRGB95) alongside its new Mini RGB evo models at the event, which runs from September 4 to 8. The televisions use LG's proprietary Micro RGB technology to deliver separate red, green and blue light sources, improving colour purity and producing more natural and lifelike images. TÜV Rheinland has independently certified the Micro RGB evo MRGB95 and Mini RGB evo MRGB9M and MRGB85 under its High Purity RGB Spectrum Display certification. According to Hüseyin Derman, Regional Sales Manager of Products Europe at TÜV Rheinland, the certification followed an evaluation of the displays' ability to produce high-purity colours while preventing the intermixing of RGB wavelengths. AI processing powers picture quality. The Micro RGB evo is powered by LG's α11 AI Processor Gen3, the same processor platform used in the company's flagship OLED televisions. Its Dual AI Engine analyses textures and edges simultaneously to improve image consistency across movies, television programmes and games. LG has also incorporated its Precision Color Enhancer, which maintains the purity of primary colours while refining gradation and tonal transitions. The television uses Micro Dimming Ultra to control brightness across thousands of dimming zones, helping to improve details in both dark and bright areas. LG said the combination of RGB technology, AI processing and large-screen display is designed to deliver a more immersive viewing experience. Expanding LG's RGB range. The Micro RGB evo forms the high-end of LG's premium LCD strategy, while the Mini RGB evo expands the technology to a wider range of screen sizes. Both product lines use LG's RGB light-source technology and have received TÜV Rheinland's High Purity RGB Spectrum Display certification. 'LG Micro RGB evo brings together the exceptional color purity of our proprietary Micro RGB technology and the advanced intelligence of the α11 AI Processor Gen3 to deliver an ultra-large viewing experience like no other,' said Park Hyoung-sei, president of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. He said the addition of Mini RGB evo would give consumers more options within LG's high-performance LCD range. The LG Micro RGB evo is being displayed at LG's booth in Hall 18 at Messe Berlin throughout IFA 2026.
