After two weeks of the regular season, eight teams that weren't ranked in the preseason edition of the #bEASTTexas Fabulous 15 are sitting in the poll heading into Week 3. No. 11 Van, No. 13 Whitehouse and No. 15 Mount Pleasant have all found their way into the rankings in Class 6A/5A/4A, while No. 9 Carlisle, No. 10 Overton, No. 12 Brook Hill, No. 13 Atlanta and No. 15 Grand Saline making their way into the ranks in Class 3A/2A/TAPPS with Carlisle making the biggest jump. Carlisle and Overton face off this week. Carthage and Troup kept the top spots. Carthage received 11 of the 14 first-place votes to take the top spot in Class 6A/5A/4A. Longview received three first-place votes. Carthage was followed by Longview, Pleasant Grove, Lindale and Athens in the top five. Troup received 13 first-place votes in Class 3A/2A/TAPPS. Jefferson received the other two first-place votes after its season-opening win over Palestine Westwood. Troup was followed by Jefferson, Malakoff, Arp and Joaquin in the top five. Notable games this week are No. 6 Tyler High at Highland Park, No. 4 Lindale at No. 11 Van, Port Arthur Memorial at No. 12 Lufkin, Sulphur Springs at No. 13 Whitehouse, No. 2 Longview at Ruston (La.), No. 5 Athens at No. 10 Pine Tree, No. 13 Atlanta at No. 12 Brook Hill, No. 9 Kilgore at No. 14 Gilmer, No. 7 Gladewater at West Rusk, No. 9 Carlisle at No. 10 Overton, Gunter at No. 2 Jefferson, Liberty-Eylau at No. 3 Pleasant Grove, Rusk at Palestine, Edgewood at Commerce, No. 14 Westwood at Cedar Hill Trinity Leadership and Grandview at No. 3 Malakoff.
