Police Deployment in Málaga: Man Arrested for Threatening Burger King Staff

The National Police arrested a man for allegedly making serious threats after he reportedly threatened to kill employees at the Burger King restaurant on this central avenue. According to the staff, the incident occurred when the suspect entered the establishment, allegedly to steal drinks from the self-service machines. The event unfolded shortly after five in the afternoon when the individual, known to the police, attempted to serve himself a drink without paying. 'He has been coming almost daily for two weeks. He usually strikes at night or when the place is crowded, which is when you least expect it,' explained one employee to this newspaper. To prevent this, they often turn off the dispensers. 'He often tells us he's going to kill us and warns us not to go alone when taking out the trash because he'll catch us.' On this occasion, they said the individual reacted aggressively, making death threats against the staff managing orders at the counter. However, on this Monday, the manager was present and confronted his behaviour. Meanwhile, employees alerted emergency services, and the store manager managed to restrain him until the officers arrived, preventing him from escaping. Several patrols attended the scene (two from the National Police and at least three from the Local Police), proceeding to identify and search the suspect. Finally, officers from the National Police arrested him for allegedly committing a serious threats offence. According to sources close to the case, local police had already seized a bladed weapon, specifically a knife, from him earlier in the afternoon.
