Bvlgari Aluminium has spent nearly three decades as the affordable, everyday-wear counterpoint to the Octo Finissimo's technical fireworks—the watch you actually wear to the gym or the airport. For Geneva Watch Days 2026, the Maison is opening a new chapter for the line without touching its identity: two models forged entirely in sandblasted titanium instead of aluminum, starting with the Titanio Chronograph ref. 104299 and the Titanio GMT ref. 104300, which we are reviewing here. The formula is instantly recognizable to anyone who's followed Bvlgari Aluminum since 1998: a 40 mm case only 9.7 mm thick, a black rubber bezel stamped with the collection's double signature, and a bracelet or strap built for comfort as much as looks. What's changed is the metal itself. Grade 5 titanium replaces aluminum's lightness and adds real resistance to shocks, scratches, and corrosion, making the Titanio pitch less like a limited-run novelty and more like a genuine upgrade to the everyday-wear proposition the line was built on. The crown and solid case back are also titanium, with a black DLC treatment. The dial mixes matte and glossy black finishes with white indexes, a 24-hour inner flange in black and grey, and grey, galvanically treated hands with white lacquered ends; the whole thing is designed around one job: a second time zone you can actually read in a hurry. With a date aperture at 3 o'clock, the hands and indexes are filled with SuperLumiNova for legibility after dark, which matters more than usual on a watch pitched at actual travel. Perhaps one of the most interesting features of this new watch, presented at Geneva Watch Days 2026, is its Velcro-fastened strap. While staying true to the design of the original Bvlgari Diagono Aluminium, the watch maintains the rubber strap, made of different segments, and now includes a hook-and-loop closure with a titanium buckle, adding a touch of innovation to one of Bvlgari's icons. Power comes from Bvlgari's B192, an automatic mechanical calibre built specifically for the GMT function, with a 24-hour disc and day/night indicator layered cleanly into the dial rather than tacked on as an afterthought. The movement provides a 50-hour power reserve and keeps the case relatively slim. The black rubber strap with sandblasted titanium links and a hook-and-loop closure is built for the kind of daily grip-and-go wear Bvlgari Aluminium has always chased, and the option to swap in a full titanium bracelet with a pin buckle through the AFSS platform means the Titanio GMT can flex between sport and slightly dressier depending on the day. At 100-meter water resistance, it's not pretending to be a dive watch, but it's more than capable of surviving actual life on the wrist rather than in a display case.
