Kendall County Judge Frieda J. Pressler passes away at 72-years-old

BOERNE, Texas - Kendall County is mourning the loss of a longtime public servant and beloved member of the community. The Kendall County Sheriff's Office announced on Facebook the death of Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Judge Frieda J. Pressler, calling her 'a truly remarkable woman who dedicated her life to serving the people of Kendall County.' According to the sheriff's office, Pressler began her public service career with Kendall County EMS in the early 1980s. In 1986, she took office as the Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace, a role she held for nearly four decades. 'Judge Pressler had a true servant's heart,' the sheriff's office wrote, adding that 'her compassion, wisdom, kindness, and dedication touched countless lives throughout Kendall County.' The sheriff's office said Pressler was 'a familiar and trusted presence' for generations in the community, and that her legacy includes the people she 'helped, encouraged, and cared for along the way.' 'Kendall County has lost a dedicated public servant, a compassionate leader, and a friend,' the post said. The sheriff's office said its 'thoughts and prayers are with Judge Pressler's family, friends, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside her,' adding, 'Rest in peace, Judge. You served your community well.' The post also included the Bible verse, 'Well done, good and faithful servant.' Matthew 25:23.
