Blizzard raid frames: targeting delay causes heals to hit previous target + other new UI issues

Since the recent UI/Edit Mode update in Classic Era/Hardcore, I have noticed several regressions with the default Blizzard UI. Some are cosmetic, but the raid/party frame targeting delay is a serious gameplay issue for healers. 1. Raid/party frame targeting delay – heals can land on the previous target This is by far the most important issue. I heal using the standard method of clicking a player on the Blizzard party/raid frames and then pressing a healing spell key. I do not use mouseover healing macros. When switching targets quickly, there appears to be a short delay between selecting the new player and the game actually using that player as the spell target. Example: Player A is my current target. I click Player B on the Blizzard raid/party frame. I immediately press Renew / Flash Heal / another healing spell. The spell will sometimes still be cast on Player A , even though I have just selected Player B. If I deliberately wait roughly a fraction of a second before casting, the spell correctly goes to Player B. This happens frequently enough that fast click-target healing becomes unreliable. In dungeons it is annoying, but in competitive/endgame raid healing it is a major problem. I specifically tested whether this was simply caused by casting before releasing the left mouse button. It is not. The Blizzard frame selects the target on LMB release, and the problem still occurs after the click has completed. It feels like there is an additional short delay before the newly selected unit is fully recognized as the spell target. My network latency is low and this did not happen with the previous Blizzard raid frames. Mouseover healing is a possible workaround, but it should not be necessary. Click-to-target healing with the default Blizzard frames worked correctly before the UI update and should remain reliable. 2. Buff/debuff tooltips are missing on the new party/raid frames Buffs and debuffs are visible on the new frames, but hovering the mouse cursor over them does not display their tooltip. This makes it impossible to quickly check the name and description of an unfamiliar debuff directly from the party/raid frame. There is also a visual problem with debuff stack counters. The numerical stack count is oversized and/or incorrectly anchored relative to the aura icon. For example, a stack count of 3 on a poison icon is positioned much too high and does not fit cleanly inside the aura icon. (screenshot attached) 3. Raid groups can no longer be arranged into multiple rows/columns The previous Blizzard raid frames allowed layouts such as: Groups 1-4 Groups 5-8 With the new frames, the groups are effectively forced into one continuous horizontal or vertical arrangement. There should be a native option to choose the number of raid-frame rows/columns or otherwise stack groups. Addons can work around this, but this was functionality that the old Blizzard UI already provided. 4. FPS counter has an incorrect anchor The built-in FPS counter is positioned too low and overlaps the action-bar area. With both the XP bar and reputation bar enabled, it becomes even more obscured and can sit behind the action bars. Unlike most of the new UI elements, the FPS counter cannot be repositioned through Edit Mode. (screenshot attached) 5. New nameplates continue following the screen after turning away With the new nameplates, if I turn my character/camera away from my current target and begin walking away, the target's nameplate can continue following the edge of the screen instead of disappearing naturally as it did with the previous Classic UI. This happens even with a relatively short nameplate distance configured and makes the nameplates feel much less natural than the previous implementation. I appreciate the additional customization introduced with Edit Mode, but several aspects of the previous Classic UI worked better. The targeting delay in particular is not just cosmetic, it directly affects healing gameplay and makes the default Blizzard raid frames unreliable for fast target switching. It would be great to see these issues addressed in upcoming Classic UI updates.
