Denis Oduor/LinkedIn Denis Oduor, Chairperson at County Blood Transfussion Coordinators Caucus, shared a post on LinkedIn: 'Aisha Dafalla was 17 when she first donated blood. Forty-five years later, she has donated 103 times, including 73 whole blood donations and 30 platelet donations. Today, she is Kenya's highest female blood donor from Nairobi County and a goodwill ambassador supporting cancer patients. For donors like Aisha and David Mariga, giving blood or platelets is a simple act with an impact that reaches far beyond the donation chair. Platelets, in particular, are critical for patients whose bodies cannot produce enough of their own, including some people undergoing cancer treatment.' Proceed to the video attached to the post.
