After quarterback Cutter Boley's historic debut for the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday, the Big 12 honored him as one of the conference's Players of the Week. Boley passed for 387 yards (the most in a debut in program history) and six touchdowns in ASU's 70-7 win over Morgan State in its season opener. The Kentucky transfer completed 21 of his 27 pass attempts. Boley threw for 325 yards and five of his six touchdowns in the first half alone, as the Sun Devils led 49-7. The ASU quarterback was the lone Sun Devil honored from Week 1, with West Virginia's Cam Cook being the only other offensive player. Cook ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns and added two catches for 11 yards in the Mountaineers' 31-24 win over Coastal Carolina. The other players honored were Colorado's Lamont Lester Jr. and Boo Carter, BYU's Cannon DeVries and Legend Glasker and Iowa State's Isaac Terrell. The Sun Devils' offensive efficiency in putting their season-opening game away early allowed ASU to rest Boley for most of the second half and Mikey Keene and Jake Fette to get some reps. ASU travels to College Station for a Week 2 matchup with No. 8 Texas A&M, a stark difference in competition from Week 1, Boley's first real test as a Sun Devil.
