Donegal Giving announces 'Footprints of Giving' event and new environmental partner

Donegal Giving is back, and the date is set for another inspirational gathering. Donegal Giving a feel-good social enterprise turning Donegal's everyday generosity into a county-wide movement. This year's event, Footprints of Giving 2026, takes place on Thursday 12th November at An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny, from 10am to 1.30pm. Following last year's hugely successful launch, the free community event will once again bring together people from business, education, community and the not-for-profit sector for a morning of stories, conversation and connection. The day is about naming, framing and celebrating all the great giving happening across the county and encouraging more of it. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments and a light lunch are included. The name Footprints of Giving comes back to three simple questions: who shaped you?, who are you shaping? and what legacy are you leaving behind? Giving comes in many forms. Time, skills, knowledge, wisdom, kindness, connections and opportunities all count. The day is about recognising and celebrating the giving that is already happening all around us and making the point we all have something to give and it's not about money! The full line-up of speakers, panellists and personal stories will be announced over the coming weeks. There will also be a few surprises on the day, including an exciting new launch. Donegal Giving has continued to grow since its launch in 2025 and is now a registered CLG with a voluntary board. Over the past year the organisation was accepted onto the RiSE programme, won a Donegal Volunteer Award, built new connections across the county, delivered its first education programme, and worked with ATU on research into attitudes towards giving in Donegal. Board member Paul Logue said: "The past year has shown us that people across Donegal are really invested in this idea, and we have grown more than we could have believed possible. We have great plans for the future and we can't wait to bring people together again on 12th November. Donegal Giving is for everyone." Building partnerships and working within communities is central to everything Donegal Giving does. With that in mind, the organisation is delighted to welcome Efficient Renewables as its new Environmental Partner.
