2XKO patch 1.3.1 notes bring in Lux & close Ranked queues
Riot Games is ending Ranked matchmaking in 2XKO as content development winds down on the game.
The latest patch notes for 2XKO have dropped, bringing the latest major content update since Riot Games announced it would be winding down new content and seasonal development on the game. Patch 1.3.1 is a mix of cool and dour, as new features like the playable character Lux have been added, but Ranked matchmaking has also been closed.
Riot Games launched Patch 1.3.1 and its accompanying notes across all available platforms today. While the biggest news would be the inclusion of Lux as a playable character, as well as her Demacian stage, there's a cloud overhead as Ranked queues also closed up shop this patch.
lux arrives in patch 1.3.1, along with updates to the climb and balance changes across the roster.

Riot Games is closing active development on 2XKO down in December 2026 and this is one of the steps on the way there. The servers will remain on after development ends, but it remains a stark situation that looms over patch notes like these. Especially when just a couple months ago at EVO 2026, the Creative Director was telling me that the future looked bright and the work they had done paved the way for exciting things.
With 2XKO Patch 1.3.1 out and the end of new content development coming in December, stay tuned to the game's topic for further news and updates.
