Acer has announced the Predator Atlas 7, a new addition to its Predator handheld gaming portfolio that brings flagship performance into a more compact 7-inch form factor. The new gaming handheld carries the performance approach of the recently launched 8-inch model while focusing on portability for mobile-first gamers. Alongside the Predator Atlas 7, Acer is also unveiling Project DualPlay Mini, a concept device designed to combine high-powered gaming with mobile productivity. The concept functions as both a gaming handheld and a mobile productivity device, creating a design that moves between gaming and work. Both devices are featured at Acer's next@acer global press conference in Berlin, Germany. Designed for mobile-first gamers who want a flagship Predator experience in a more compact and portable form factor, the Predator Atlas 7 (PA07-I51) is powered by up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and up to Intel Arc B390 graphics. The combination is designed to deliver high-powered gaming performance in a handheld form factor. Paired with a subscription to XBOX Game Pass, the Predator Atlas 7 provides immediate access to high-powered gameplay across hundreds of titles right out of the box. The device also brings the full benefits of Windows 11 gaming experiences to a compact handheld design. The Predator Atlas 7 uses a dual-fan cooling system to maintain mobile performance. Its cooling architecture includes a precision metal Predator AeroBlade fan with 89 blades measuring just 0.1 mm in thickness. According to Acer, the fan delivers up to a 10% increase in airflow. A secondary plastic fan works alongside the Predator AeroBlade fan. The system uses Vortex Flow tuning with angled internal channels that guide hot air out of the chassis more efficiently under sustained load. This cooling setup supports the device's performance while maintaining its portable design. The Predator Atlas 7 also offers up to an 80 Wh battery. The battery is designed to support long gaming sessions on the road without interruption, balancing the device's performance requirements with its focus on portability. The gaming handheld features a distinct design focused on intuitive control. Contoured grips, an enlarged palm rest area, recessed keys, and an anti-slip texture help provide a steadier hold. These design elements are intended to support cleaner input and better control during longer gaming sessions. The joysticks are available with a tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) option. This option is designed to provide greater precision and ease of use, along with anti-drift performance and zero dead zones. Hall-effect analog triggers provide additional range and pressure variation for gaming genres that require more control. The Predator Atlas 7 also includes a built-in fingerprint reader on the power button. The feature enables quick and secure login through Windows Hello. For visuals, the Predator Atlas 7 features a 7-inch FHD touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of peak brightness, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support, and a 16:9 aspect ratio. These features are designed to deliver smooth motion, vivid visuals, and strong contrast during gameplay. The display uses Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus™ with DXC surface treatment. The treatment provides scratch resistance and glare reduction. Acer also includes a tempered-glass screen protector with the device. Touch input supports 10-point multi-touch across the display surface. This provides responsive and intuitive interaction with the touchscreen. Connectivity focuses on speed, stability, and scalability. The Predator Atlas 7 includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-bandwidth docking, display output, and accessory connections. UHS-II microSD support also allows fast external storage expansion. For wireless connectivity, the device features Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth® 5.4. These technologies keep the handheld connected using the latest wireless standards. The PredatorSense app provides access to live system monitoring, performance mode selection, RGB lighting customization, and gameplay settings. These controls can be accessed at any time with the touch of a button, giving users direct control over key aspects of the device. Audio is handled by dual 2-Watt speakers with DTS:X® Ultra. The system is designed to provide games with more width, detail, and presence. Dual microphones powered by Acer PurifiedVoice add AI-assisted noise reduction to help voice communication remain clear during intense gameplay sessions. The 8-inch Project DualPlay Mini is a conceptual device from the Predator brand that reimagines what a gaming handheld form factor can do. The concept combines gaming and productivity in a single device, functioning as both a gaming handheld and a mobile productivity station. Project DualPlay Mini is designed to move between gaming and productivity without requiring a separate device for each purpose. For gaming, the concept supports two distinct control configurations. A built-in backlit physical keyboard enables a traditional laptop mode for first-person shooter games. A gaming handheld mode provides console-like experiences for other gaming genres. For productivity, Project DualPlay Mini operates as a mobile work device that can connect to an external screen. This allows the device to support productivity while on the go without requiring a second device. The Project DualPlay Mini features a distinctive flip-and-swivel design. This design allows the concept to convert between handheld and mini-laptop modes. To mark Acer's 50th anniversary, the back cover features the words 'Acer 50 since 1976' embedded in Morse Code. The detail reflects the anniversary milestone and the identity of the Predator brand. Powered by Intel, the conceptual device also integrates the same dual-fan cooling architecture as the Predator Atlas 8. The cooling system includes one Predator AeroBlade metal fan and one plastic fan. The metal fan uses thinner blades in this concept. With Project DualPlay Mini, the Predator brand is blurring the lines between devices designed for gaming and productivity. The concept represents a step forward in mobile-first innovation and aims to deliver unique experiences for a wide range of users. The Predator Atlas 7 will be available in North America from Q4'2026 and in EMEA from November 2026. Previously launched at Computex 2026, the Predator Atlas 8 will be available in North America and EMEA from September 2026. The Project DualPlay Mini is a concept only.
