The HSE has been fined €645,000 after an inquiry discovered medical records that had been damaged by mould, contaminated by animal droppings, covered in rubble or destroyed because of water damage. The Data Protection Commission (DPC), which distributed the fines, is the supervisor responsible for enforcing data privacy law.
