One Miami Dolphins player had unflattering things to say about Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby ahead of their matchup. The Las Vegas Raiders are less than a week away from getting their 2026 NFL season underway. The Raiders recently named veteran Kirk Cousins as their starting quarterback for the upcoming campaign instead of rookie Fernando Mendoza. Also on the Raiders is star pass rusher Maxx Crosby, who initially appeared to have been traded to the Baltimore Ravens earlier this offseason before a failed physical kept him put in Las Vegas. Now, Crosby has received some harsh words from Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Patrick Paul, who will face off against Crosby on Sunday. 'Dolphins left tackle Patrick Paul said the key against Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby is to get him off his game. And yes, some trash talk could factor into that. While complimenting Crosby as a player, Paul called him 'a hothead,'' reported David Furones of the Sun Sentinel on X, formerly Twitter. Furones also noted that the 'Last time the Dolphins faced the Raiders in 2024, Liam Eichenberg drew a 15-yard penalty against Crosby by getting under his skin.' The superstar is looking to prove that the Ravens' injury concerns about him were misguided, which could potentially open the door for a different trade to go through at some point this season if Crosby continues to produce at a high level. Meanwhile, the Raiders aren't expected by many to compete for the playoffs this year, and many fans will be counting down the time until Mendoza takes the field as the new starting quarterback. In any case, the Dolphins and Raiders are set to kick off shortly after 4:00 pm ET on Sunday.
