MEDFORD, Wis. (WSAW) - Taylor County Recovery Court will post several signs of encouragement Thursday to observe National Recovery Month. The signs along the Riverwalk will feature positive and motivational sayings to encourage those on their recovery journey. They will also include tips for mindful walking, a coping skill designed to encourage people to focus on the present moment. National Recovery Month is observed every September to support those recovering from substance use and mental health disorders. The Riverwalk signs in Medford serve as visual reminders that recovery is possible and support is available. Taylor County Hybrid Treatment Court is one of 61 treatment courts and 30 diversion programs funded through the Treatment Alternative and Diversion program grant, administered by the Wisconsin Department of Justice. The signs will be posted Thursday, Sept. 10, at 8 a.m. by the Recovery Court Coordinator and program participants.
