The New York Times reported first, citing people familiar with the discussions, that the Trump Administration is moving forward on a proposal to offer childcare subsidies to married couples with a stay-at-home spouse. The money for the proposed childcare subsidies would come from a federal program that is intended to help low-income and working-class parents pay for their childcare so they can work or go to school, according to the outlet. ‌ On September 7, Rachel Campos-Duffy touted that the Trump administration's new proposal was her 'favorite policy like ever that President Trump has brought.' "I'm definitely going to pay for it, but I wouldn't fall in this category at this point in my life," he closed.
