Donald Trump delivers massive blow to Canada buy banning major company from US

President Donald Trump has seemingly declared his intention to prohibit the Canadian aviation manufacturer Bombardier from operating in the U.S. Trump said "their products aren't good enough," before noting that "over 50% of their revenue comes from the United States." The president conveyed this message through a Truth Social post, which stated: "NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES! Their products aren't good enough! Over 50% of their revenue comes from the United States - They live off American Buyers, American Companies, American Airports, and American Service - All while Canada blocks our GREAT American Banks, and Companies, throughout the U.S.A. "They even blocked Gulfstream Aerospace from doing business in Canada - Completely unjust and unfair! That Era is OVER! If they want our Market, they must build here, and stop treating America like a 'piggybank.' BUY AMERICAN. FLY ON AMERICAN AIRLINERS. ENJOY AMERICAN LIQUOR AND BEVERAGES. SAIL ON LAKE AMERICA. Trump's statement regarding Bombardier seems connected to an ongoing escalating trade dispute between the neighboring nations following the collapse of negotiations over a new agreement in August. The president pledged to implement a 50% tariff on Canadian automobiles, automotive components, and steel beginning next year, while Canada promised countermeasures. Trump's administration subsequently imposed 50% tariffs on approximately C$28billion ($20.2 billion USD) of Canadian goods. Canada announced it would retaliate "dollar for dollar", with counter-tariffs ranging from 15% to 50% on C$27.6billion worth of American products, set to take effect on September 8. As friction with Canada intensified, Trump also suggested Lake Ontario should have been renamed "Lake America." The US President posted a map of the US-Canada border showing the lake that both countries share, labeled with an alternative name.
