Peshawar police chief reviews security arrangements at key facilities

Haqnawaz shinwari PESHAWAR Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed on Saturday visited the Police School of Investigation at Mera Kachori, Frontier Reserve Police (FRP) and Adezai police post near Matani to review security arrangements and the overall security situation. SSP Operations Farhan Khan, SP Saddar Fida Hussain, SP Rural Sabir Gul Khan and other senior police officers accompanied the CCPO during the visits. At the Police School of Investigation and FRP, Dr Ahmed inspected security arrangements and monitored CCTV cameras installed at the facilities. He also reviewed surveillance of the surrounding areas through drone cameras and inspected the armoured vehicles deployed for security. The CCPO met police personnel posted at the facilities and issued directions regarding their duties and security responsibilities. During the visit, Dr Ahmed also interacted with students of a nearby seminary. A young student recited verses from the Holy Quran, after which the CCPO encouraged him with a cash reward. Later, the CCPO visited Adezai police post in the vicinity of Matani and met personnel deployed there. He was briefed on their duties and inspected the available resources. Dr Ahmed also inspected CCTV cameras, the lock-up, malkhana and the overall internal and external security arrangements at the post. He awarded cash prizes to police personnel in recognition of their performance and to encourage them to carry out their duties diligently. The CCPO directed police officers to utilise all available resources to ensure the protection of citizens' lives and property. He also instructed officers to keep a close watch on suspicious individuals and activities and to deal with the public courteously in order to strengthen trust between police and citizens.
