Letter to the editor: Help Gazans drop the 'refugee' label

OPINION: Hamas is band of psychopathic killers. In May, a survey by the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) found that some 80% of Gazans want to leave the strip. Though Gazans overwhelmingly supported the Oct. 7, 2023, slaughter of Israelis, we should help them now, both for their sake and for peace in the region. We should engage the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to find them new homes and drop the 'refugee'' tag that has stifled them for generations. As for Hamas, it is gasping its last breath. The terror group will be disarmed and excluded from any future role in Israel, including Gaza, Judea or Samaria. Those who participated in Oct. 7 must be brought to justice. Anything less is appeasement, which would work as well as Neville Chamberlain's contract with Hitler.
