Mamdani's Poison Pen

Today in Free Expression: —Matthew Hennessey From the Rockaways in Queens, N.Y., you get a postcard view of the Manhattan skyline. I was there this weekend with my wife and daughter. As we drove along Beach Channel Drive, we passed a pair of guys with paint cans touching up the mural at the 9/11 Tribute Park. All I could think was, 'How has it come to this?' The current mayor of New York has done and said many things in his short tenure that have annoyed me. What he did on Friday made me want to punch a wall. After signing a pair of executive orders recognizing the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Mayor Zohran Mamdani handed the ceremonial pen to his police commissioner, Jessica Tisch, and instructed her to hand it to the man to her left. That man was Ramzi Kassem, the mayor's chief counsel. Attentive readers of Free Expression will remember the name. Mr. Kassem is the terror lawyer who represented Ahmed al-Darbi:
