Write Again . . . It is inevitable

Most of us, I imagine, have heard the saying that 'The only thing that doesn't change is change.' Maybe so. There may be some exceptions. Then maybe not. A case in point though, is the schools I attended here in Washington. That is, the actual buildings are either long gone, or not used as schools. I attended Saint Agnes Academy kindergarten through fourth grade. While I was not Catholic, the majority of students weren't either. There was no attempt to proselytize. Parents simply enrolled their children there because it had a good reputation for providing a good education. Saint Agnes Academy was in an older house, and the several rooms used for classes were small. It was located on N. Market Street. The teachers were nuns, and wore the traditional habits of their order. Then I was on to the first John Small School, then located on Harvey Street. I attended fourth through sixth grade there. The building is long gone also.
