Senne Lammens ditched his most important asset against Everton, despite its previous impact for Man Utd

Senne Lammens has not done himself any favours after his unconvincing Manchester United performance against Everton on Sunday afternoon. The 24-year-old Belgian shot-stopper was poorly positioned and was unable to deny Tyrique George's superb 83rd-minute strike for Everton's equaliser this weekend. Senne Lammens was helplessly rooted to the spot in the 96th minute and watched Ainsley Maitland-Niles' long-range effort snatch away Manchester United's win. 'It's one of my strengths,' he told The Guardian back in February, before adding: 'So sometimes I like the challenge as well. 'Of course, it can get too much sometimes, but everyone has to deal with it. It's not like only one team does it; it's everyone in general.' The Premier League visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon saw Lammens acting like a deer in the headlights instead of dominating his opponents. There are big questions around Lammens this season after the strong start to his life at Old Trafford and his summer setback with Belgium at his first World Cup. It feels that Lammens needs to head back to basics and his own words about his physicality are the best place for the Man Utd No 1 in order to return to his best.
