I am writing in response to the (ad) in the Yuma Sun, Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, page B2, 'No Redline With God on Abortion Murders,' which was submitted by the Valley Church of Christ in Yuma. It says that the Massachusetts governor signed into law and removed restrictions on abortion after 24 weeks. I previously learned this from my National Catholic Register newspaper, which also reads 'Massachusetts Enshrines Abortions up to Birth.' I would like to comment on this. In the 1970s when abortion Dr. Bernard Nathanson was performing an abortion on an 11-week fetus, his screen showed the baby squirming to get away from the suction. He also witnessed the baby's mouth open wide, which he later called the 'Silent Scream!' Thus he ended his abortion practice because he saw that the fetus feels pain early on. How sad for our country to take a baby's life in its early stages or to take a young baby's life at all! I understand Massachusetts is the 11th state to impose no limits on abortion. Will it ever end? When will it ever end?! Thank you to Valley Baptist Church of Christ for submitting your ad. Trade, budget deficits Trump has started a war of his own that he can't win nor get out of. With his tariffs, he vowed to pay the national debt, end the trade deficit and the budget deficit. Debt in '26, $40 trillion with annual interest of $1.4T. trade deficit, $1T, budget deficit, $2T. The Republicans have been catastrophic for the nation and for 95% of Americans. Their chief Donald Trump got elected under the promises of cheaper food, gas and housing, lower inflation, no more wars. Everyone is suffering under the high costs of everything; they're taking us to the abyss. We're not suckers. We've got the power to kick them all out of the government this November. Vote Republicans out. 'Who is the villain?' The guest editorial on Aug. 25, 2026, 'Should RFK be Impeached,' accuses health secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., of 'assault against the American people' for exercising restraint and skepticism in the scheduling of vaccines for children. Parents who have seen signs of autism in their children following vaccination have reason to look to science for answers. People who suffered injury after taking the COVID vaccine also have reason to wonder about the safety and efficacy of these products. RFK's measured and rational approach reflects a duty to care, a humane response to those who feel harmed and ignored. Bobby Kennedy's Children's Health Defense website became popular during the COVID pandemic because it was one of the only groups questioning the measures that were lacking in scientific rigor. It gave people the opportunity to hear debate and discussion at a time of censorship when health professionals were being silenced. Those who were harmed by the measures and the mRNA vaccine had few avenues for complaint or questioning. Because the pharmaceutical industry has been given immunity from liability by our government, people are limited in their ability to recoup the costs of their injury from pharm products. The twisted logic of this attack on RFK by describing him as a villain is in sharp contrast to the recent Senate investigation of Anthony Fauci who was given immunity. In the hearing, Fauci refused to answer any questions. RFK is a repository for all the questions the American public has over the COVID debacle. He has been responsive and responsible to the people who continue to question, a position that is closer to being 'science' than the 'article of faith' that Mr. Fauci urged us to believe in.
