Opinion: Surge of unclaimed bodies in Quebec an invitation for us all to show up
What if, at the last opportunity to say goodbye to you, no one was there?
Recent news reports, citing Santé Québec statistics, indicate the number of unclaimed bodies in the province doubled from 448 in 2020 to 992 in 2025.
Areas of the province that previously never saw any unclaimed bodies are now reporting cases as well.
