CM Punjab E-Bikes Scheme 2026: Portal reopens, Students can now Apply Online

Chief Minister Punjab E-Bikes Scheme has reopened its online application portal, providing eligible students with an opportunity to apply for government-supported electric bikes. The is aimed at offering students a more affordable, convenient and friendly transportation option. The scheme is available to both male and female students who meet the eligibility requirements. Under the program, qualifying applicants will be able to obtain bikes through interest-free financing, while the Punjab government will provide a subsidy to help reduce the cost of the purchase. Students receiving financing under the scheme will be able to repay the amount through easy monthly installments, making the purchase more manageable for students and their families. The government will also provide free helmets and safety equipment to participating students. The additional safety support is intended to encourage safer travel while students use the bikes for their daily transportation. Electric Bike Specifications The electric bikes offered through the scheme will be equipped with a 72-volt, 30-ampere-hour battery. The bikes will feature a 1,000-watt motor and will have a maximum speed of approximately 50 to 55 kilometers per hour. These specifications are designed to provide students with an economical electric transportation option for their routine travel. Who Can Apply? Students enrolled in eligible government and private educational institutions across Punjab can benefit from the scheme. Both male and female students are eligible to apply, subject to fulfilling the program's conditions. The minimum age requirement is 16 years. Applicants must possess a valid driving license or learner's permit to qualify. A valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is also required as part of the application process. Guarantor Requirement Parents or legal guardians can act as guarantors for students applying under the scheme. An important requirement is that the mobile phone number provided in the application must be registered in the name of the guarantor. Applicants should therefore ensure that the required personal and guarantor information is accurate before submitting their forms. Application Deadline Eligible students can submit their applications online for the Chief Minister Punjab E-Bikes Scheme until October 4, 2026.
