No matter their primary preference, Democrats vote for David Crowley

You can't blame David Crowley for not putting much faith in the polls. I appreciated James Causey's column in the Aug. 23 Wisconsin State Journal, 'Crowley won the primary; now he has to win over Democrats.' Since the primary drew almost 491,000 Republican voters and over 686,000 Democratic voters, it seemed to me that the Democrats would easily be ahead. Recent polls, however, show that the Democratic candidate, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and the Republican candidate, U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Hazelhurst, are essentially tied. Where did the extra Democratic voters go? Are angry Francesca Hong voters just going to take their yard signs and go home? If their candidate isn't on the ticket, will they just stay home and refuse to vote? Crowley and Tiffany are two very different candidates. I cannot imagine anyone who voted for a Democrat in the primary would turn and vote for Tiffany in November. Disgruntled Democrats must remember that not voting for Crowley benefits Tiffany. Do you really want Tiffany, the election denier and pro-Trump candidate, running the state of Wisconsin? All Democrats, regardless of their primary candidate, must get out in November and vote for Crowley. Michael R.
