The pancake that changed America

I weirdly found myself standing in the grocery store the other day looking at a box of pancake mix. Pearl Milling Company. Nothing particularly remarkable about it. Flour, pancakes, and a hearty breakfast. Then I started digging. And darned if I didn't discover that the name on that box goes all the way back to St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1888. That got my attention.
