To the editor: Left makes decision easy in Nov.

There are plain choices to be made when a person goes to vote this November between the Left and the Right. Do you support illegal immigration, opening prisons, defunding everything, and upending the structure of our nation, or have you a thread of common sense and see our country as somewhat flawed, but workable? This push from the new left is destructive. They do not see or care about history from the last century. No one has taught them that the utopia they seek in socialism and communism has failed every time. Advertisement The big lie of 'free health care' sounds good, but how to pay for it is the same lie of 'tax the rich.' Margaret Thatcher said, 'socialism is fine, until you run out of other peoples money.' The people who want to 'tax the rich' are rich themselves, but we don't see them putting up anything. It's all a lie. And we should vote accordingly. I first met Mark through my husband, and over the years I have had the opportunity to get to know him well. Mark is one of those people you can truly count on. He is dependable, reliable, generous with his time, and always willing to help. He is incredibly talented and capable, but what stands out most is his character. He is cheerful, thoughtful, supportive, and simply a good person. Mark also has a background that makes him well suited for the auditor's office. He grew up in Wood County, attended Eastwood High School, and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in business administration. He currently works as a Global Commodity Manager for First Solar, where his career has centered on planning, accountability, accuracy, and managing complex responsibilities under tight timelines. His professional experience, combined with his roots in agriculture and business, has given him a strong understanding of financial responsibility, organization, and sound decision making. The auditor's office requires someone who understands the importance of accuracy, accountability, transparency, and responsible financial management. Just as importantly, it requires someone who will listen to residents and take the responsibility of serving the public seriously. I believe Mark brings all of those qualities to the position. I have also seen the way Mark shows up for his family, his friends, and his community. He is a supportive spouse, a wonderful father figure, a great friend, and someone who consistently makes time for the people around him. His involvement in the community reflects the same qualities I have come to appreciate in him personally. I am proud to call Mark my friend, and I am proud to support him for Wood County auditor.
