Tips for charging modern smartphones.
Previously, smartphone sellers recommended discharging the battery to zero and then charging it to 100%, repeating this procedure. However, such advice is outdated. Modern phone models typically use lithium-ion batteries, which require a different approach.
Full discharge and charge were necessary for nickel batteries, which have not been used for over 10 years. For lithium-ion batteries, it is important to maintain the charge level between 20% and 80% to avoid deep discharging and full charging.
The expert also warns against charging the phone overnight. Prolonged connection to the power supply can cause the charge level to drop from 100% to 99%. The frequent practice of overnight charging may shorten the battery's lifespan. Additionally, there is a risk of fire if the controller fails and energy is directed into the battery.
It is also a myth that old chargers can damage modern smartphones. It is important to pay attention to the output values of volts and amps. If the parameters of the adapter match or are lower for an old adapter, it can be used.
