Why can't we help the bears?

In winter, roadkill is dumped out in the forests for the wildlife. The other day someone showed me a photo of a large bear eating grass in Wagner Park because it was starving.
A starved bear is a dead bear. Old fruits and veggies the supermarkets toss away by the ton are not 'people food.' Hamburgers and ice cream cones are 'people foods.'
