Planning the U.S. rebuild
Watching Donald Trump's physical decline and anticipating midterm victories, it is time to think of how we can rebuild the U.S. we love. Here are some ideas:
Bury the ballroom, leaving no trace. That land belongs to us, the people. There will be no better reminder of this than to erase this monstrosity.
Pack the supreme court. This was the one part of our Constitution that ended up being a bad idea. By packing the court, we can effectively sideline it.
Fire any general hired by Pete Hegseth and reinstall a professional military that shuns politics.
I plan to spend my time making sure these happen.

Stop the name-calling
In his recent letter (Tribune, July 16), Dick Sherwin paints a picture of 'left‑wing loonies' rioting, looting and 'blaspheming God,' and claims the Tribune intentionally ignores Christian‑based stories. That portrayal deserves a more grounded response.
