How do you fill your tank? Country 107 listeners have opinions

Apparently, there is a right way and a wrong way to pump gas. At least that's what we learned from Wendy's Would You Rather on Country 107. The question was simple: CLICK when the nozzle stops automatically, or ROUND the total up to a nice, satisfying number? And wow, do people have feelings about this. 'Numbers drive me crazy!! I'll make sure it is in my tank 1 way or another,' Franklin declared. Riley described getting the total to a perfect .00 as 'a game of timing and skill,' while Hayle said landing on a round number brings a little joy. 'Gotta get joy everywhere you can,' Hayley said. Fair enough. These days, we'll take our joy wherever we can find it. Then there's Jeremie, who apparently sees that first click as merely a suggestion. 'I know I can fit another $5 after it clicks,' he said. Ben takes a similar approach, saying he's going to make sure his tank is 'full to the top.' And Nick? 'I like to max everything out.' We respect the commitment. She doesn't know why, but she follows the advice anyway. Herve has perhaps the most practical approach: 'Speed it up and get out of the way for the next person.' Meanwhile, Danielle has turned pumping gas into an extreme sport. She says she takes it 'reallllllly slow' and tries to hit an even dollar amount. She even used to work as a gas jockey. And then there was Mark, who has apparently surrendered all responsibility. 'Click or Round. I like to live on the edge and go with whatever the pump attendant decides.' Honestly, that's a level of trust most of us aren't ready for. The debate comes at a time when every penny at the pump counts. GasBuddy recently listed regular fuel at 151.9 cents per litre at one Niverville location, while several Steinbach stations were at 160.9 cents. So whether you're stopping at the click, squeezing in another few dollars or performing the delicate .00 manoeuvre, one thing is clear: Country 107 listeners are not casual about their gas.
