This was also one of the important requirements set forth by Nam Phu commune during the consultation process: ensuring openness and transparency so that people can truly access information and exercise their right to self-governance as stipulated by law. Speaking with reporters, Nguyen Van Sung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Phu commune, said that the commune implemented the plan to gather public opinion in accordance with the city's directives. Following the initial meeting, the commune will continue to disseminate information to help people understand the position, role, and significance of the project; and encourage them to study the project documents and contribute their opinions. The leaders of Nam Phu commune affirmed that the locality will implement a comprehensive process of gathering opinions, ensuring openness, transparency, and democracy, so that people can contribute their ideas.
