Hanoi seeks public opinion on the planning of the Ho Guom area and its surroundings.

Perspective: Hanoi City People's Committee According to the plan, from September 7th to September 26th, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward, in coordination with the People's Committee of Cua Nam Ward, will organize a public consultation on the partial adjustment of the H1-1B urban zoning plan for the Hoan Kiem Lake area and its surroundings, at a scale of 1/2,000, and a part of the H1-1C urban zoning plan, at a scale of 1/2,000, combined with a detailed planning solution at a scale of 1/500. The content aims at renovating, beautifying, reconstructing, and restructuring the space around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity. The consultation process aims to publicly disclose information and fully receive public feedback to further research and refine the planning documents in accordance with regulations. Notably, in the area of ​​the Hanoi People's Committee headquarters, the proposed plan includes the construction of a new 9-story above-ground, 4-story underground building based on the restructuring of the land plot. The plan also studies the demolition of the Hanoi People's Council and People's Committee headquarters, the Red Scarf Theater, and the Children's Palace building; while simultaneously planning to retain three French-style buildings: the Children's Hospital, the Indochina Treasury, and the Governor's Office. In the Hanoi Post Office area, the proposed plan is to demolish some unsuitable architectural structures; at the same time, it aims to evoke and recreate the distinctive architectural style and image of the old Bao An Pagoda in the central space within the Post Office grounds.
