Tennis Everyone?

'Boys talk about sports, girls talk about Taylor Swift,' I once joked. Of course, plenty of women play and watch sports, and the pop sensation has her fair share of fanboys. But many young women don't have the shared language and common reference point of sports the way many men do. At least for me, a water-cooler conversation is more likely to be about the theme of Ms. Swift's next album than the score of last night's game. Yet one sport has broken through for my friends and me in recent years: tennis.
