12th Congressional District candidates should debate issues

Image
Muskingum County has certainly had its share of bad luck in the past few weeks. With the election in November for our 12th Congressional District representative, we need the chance to access, in person, Troy Balderson and Jarrad Christian's views on data centers, Social Security, jobs and rural healthcare such as Medicare, Medicaid and support of home care of the disabled. We also need to hear why Balderson voted against funding the FEMA Act of 2025 and how both candidates plan to lower gas and food prices. They also need to explain their plans to help the flooding victims. A debate is the most democratic way to get both viewpoints out. It is one thing to post a newsletter detailing all the good things, but we need to see how Christian and Balderson will deal with the hard problems Muskingum County is dealing with in a public forum.
