A Love Is Blind UK star has come under fire with fans after a "strange" social media comment.
The third series of the show came to an end last month, with viewers finally discovering who remained together after an explosive reunion was aired. In heartwarming scenes, all four pairs who said 'I do' admitted they were still happily married.
However, things remained tense between Cuba and Ryan who admitted they had not spoken since their televised split.
Ryan Roberts, an international public speaker, struggled on the show having to travel for work and was forced to step away after the death of a loved one. But he also seemingly struggled with his relationship, admitting to Cuba that he could not continue their partnership. Just days before their wedding day, Cuba was devastated, with viewers at home hitting out against Ryan's actions - especially when he told Cuba he needed "alone time" to decompress upon his return from work.
Now, the star has once again come under fire for a post he has made on Instagram. Sharing a clip, the 33-year-old can be seen videoing himself, with the text on screen reading: "Unpopular opinion. It's NOT normal to get married after 10 weeks."
Ryan further clarified in his caption as he said: "Not being man enough is going through with something you know isn't right, even when it's hard.
"Find me anyone who's made a big life decision that hasn't also impacted someone they cared for. You cant. Does the experiment work? Yes & I'm made up for those who made it. Does it work for everyone? No, and that's also okay."
But viewers at home were unconvinced as they all asked the same thing. One person replied: "Then don't go to a show about getting married in 10 weeks." Ryan Roberts has received backlash since the show aired -Credit:Netflix
Another commented: "why did you go on the show then lol", as a third said: "You signed up because…???" A fourth added: "That's literally the entire premise of the show for a guy who lives his entire life going against what's 'normal'.. seems like a strange comment 2 make. I felt for Cuba watching this season."
A fifth said: "Remind us, what was the context of the show you just voluntarily appeared on." A sixth echoed: "Of course it's not normal but why did you go on a show that is literally about getting married within 10 weeks???"
However, one person defended: "The amount of trolling Ryan is getting is honestly wild. People seem to forget just how heavily edited and orchestrated reality TV is.
"Yes, someone's feelings may have been hurt, and that's sad. But can we also have some compassion for the human being who was grieving the loss of someone he loved, while being thrown into an incredibly intense environment with someone he had only just met?"
Another commented: "The way people are making it their whole personality to attack you for not marrying someone you just met is wild behavior."
Previously, Ryan took to social media to address the real reason he appeared on the show, admitting he was approached by producers.
