Letter: This is the kind of person Alaska needs as governor

My family and I had the opportunity to have JKT visit our home in Palmer some weeks ago. We gathered friends and interested neighbors to meet him and ask hard questions about his approach if he were to be elected governor. What I heard was refreshing, honest and straightforward. Perhaps most of all, his words were reflective of a deep concern for working people, for those who desire a strong education for their kids, affordable healthcare for all, not just the wealthy, and responsible management of Alaska's resources, from fishing to mining to recent critical issues like AI management. Another very relevant quality JKT expressed was his ability to work with all of those elected folks who represent us — Democrats, Republicans, independents, whatever. This is the kind of person we desperately need as our governor — one of energy, integrity, openness and vision. I feel you could trust JKT with a handshake.
