COLUMN. Seoul is preparing a free artificial intelligence service accessible to the entire population by the end of the year. An initiative well worth watching closely
Now that is what you call ambition. A few days ago, South Korea announced its intention to offer all its citizens, very rapidly, a generative artificial intelligence service. Built on sovereign models, created notably by South Korean companies.
We may recall that this spring Malta signed an agreement with OpenAI: the Californian company will provide all the island's citizens with free access to the normally paid version of ChatGPT. For Malta, this creates an extremely strong relationship of dependence on the American multinational. At little cost, OpenAI gains considerable influence.
